Mr. Cochran has served as a volunteer at the Churchville Recreation Council since 2008, serving in a variety of leadership roles including, coaching clinic soccer, girls soccer, boys soccer, softball, and both rec and travel baseball. He has also held numerous key leadership roles within the organization, serving as chair of the soccer program for 5 years, board member for 3 years, and most recently as Vice President of the board for the last year.
"I am excited to see what this new board of directors can accomplish at Churchville over the next two years. I am eager to get started leading this awesome group of local volunteers. I have always been inspired by the selfless leadership of our volunteers and their boundless energy," said Cochran.
Mr. Cochran has more than 20 years of experience in operations and sales management, primarily in the automotive aftermarket parts as well as maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) supplies. Cochran is currently the Sales Manager for Kimball Midwest, an industrial MRO supplier for the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
Mrs. Parsons has lived in Harford County all of her life and has always enjoyed helping out the community. Parsons has volunteered her time with the Rec Council in the past as parent, team mom, assistant coach, head coach, program director and now as secretary of the board. In 2018, Parsons created a cheerleading program for the local Council.
"I have personally been involved with the rec council since I started in gymnastics at the age of three. Over the last decade, I have watched my own kids grow up and take advantage of all the wonderful things Churchville Rec has to offer. At the heart of all of it is the dedication of the countless volunteers. As a board member, I hope to ensure that more generations of Churchville kids have the same opportunities that my family has had," said Parsons.
Goudy has been a volunteer in Harford County Recreation Councils since 2003. He began his volunteering with Churchville in 2012.
Goudy is a recent retiree following a 30 year career in Corporate America. He has been working at Absolute Sports Performance in Abingdon, MD for the past four years. Goudy also serves as an Associate Head Baseball Coach at John Carroll High School, Bel Air, and US National Teams Director for US Elite Baseball.
"I believe in our community and giving back. Opportunities provide roads to success for our youth and the rewards for us volunteers are those successes," said Goudy.
Dr. Reed has been involved in the Churchville Community since moving here in 1995. He has been a member of the Churchville Lions club since 1994 and has been the president of the club 5 times. He has been involved with the Churchville Rec as far back as 2006 as a coach for soccer and softball.
"I am excited for the opportunity to help grow the next generation of young people in the Churchville Rec and Harford County communities. Churchville Rec Council was a big part of my children's lives and I want to make sure it is here to serve the community for many more years," said Reed.
Dr. Reed is the Director of Student and Residency for Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates Dr. Reed is an Optometrist who has provided medical eye health and vision care to patients throughout Harford County, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia since 1993. Dr. Reed earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and residency certification in Ocular Disease at the Baltimore Veterans Medical Center (BVMC) working with glaucoma, retinal, and corneal specialists.
A pillar in the Harford County community, Parsons has served as a volunteer in numerous capacities. As a long-time participant with and volunteer for CRC, Parsons has served in a number of roles including baseball umpire, baseball coach, Travel Baseball Coordinator and most recently as the Commissioner for Churchville Baseball. Outside of his work with the Council, Parsons also serves the community as a member of the Level Volunteer Fire Company, and most recently as an actor for Legends of the Fog.
"I have personally been involved with the rec council since I started playing t-ball at age 4. It has meant so much to me and my family through the years. I hope that I can help continue to improve the offerings of the organization and ensure it is here for future generations," said Parsons .
Parsons works as a Project Manager for Spectrum Solutions, a government general contractor based out of Alabama. He works on projects at multiple Army Facilities in the MD/DC/VA areas. His wife Danika has also recently been elected to the Churchville Board of Directors as the organization's new Secretary.
